Growing up surrounded by music, Sibilë's journey into the world of DJing was both a return to her roots and a bold step into uncharted territory. Hailing from the vibrant city of Vilnius, Lithuania, she inherited a deep love for music from her father, who owned the first record company in the country. DJing became her canvas for musical expression, helping to heal the scar left by her strict musical schooling, eventually leading her to explore the realms of music production.
Known for her captivating storytelling nature, Sibilë curates sets that weave intricate narratives, blending house and electro melodies with a touch of redemption. Her boutique community-based party cycle, Pretty Much, has become synonymous with artsy, semi-secret music experiences within the Lithuanian club scene, including their now biannual festival, The Imaginarium. She’s been a resident of Lithuania’s Opium Club, played at Gallery 1986 & Ant Bangos festival by the seaside. Sibilë has also become a part of Lithuania's oldest festival, Yaga Gathering, having contributed to the music program and communication.
A standout moment in her career was her closing set at the Saga stage of Bucht der Träumer festival, alongside a memorable performance at OKA in Dresden. Another personal highlight was a live set recorded at Europos Parkas, where she and her partner at the time, Mauras, showcased the beauty of electronic dance music within a cultural context, redefining boundaries and captivating audiences with their sonic journey.
Beyond DJing, Sibilë occasionally explores music production, incorporating elements of poetry and singing into her work. Her songs have been released on acclaimed labels such as Les Yeux Orange and whypeopledance, solidifying her artistic presence in the electronic music scene.
Beyond the decks, Sibilë is a shaman of sorts, creating safe spaces for emotional release and connection. With every performance, she invites listeners into her world, making eye contact, touching hands, and fostering moments of profound connection.
Though her recent focus has shifted to preparing for her debut art exhibition in May, Sibilë's passion for music remains unwavering. Embracing new forms of expression, she eagerly anticipates the fusion of her artistic endeavors and her love for music, eagerly awaiting her return to the dance floors of Germany.
